A Mother-Daughter Kitchen, Cooking Like Family

Tucked in a small storefront on Esplanade Street, El Zacatecas is easy to drive past — and that would be a mistake. Behind the counter, a mother and daughter run the whole show: mom works the stove with decades of skill and speed, and her daughter greets every table like they're old friends. Nothing here is frozen or pre-made. Every taco, every plate, every basket of chips is cooked fresh to order, the same way it's been done since the day they opened.
